What if I told you that you could create the best content in your niche every single time and guarantee hundreds of social shares and links?

REALLY… It’s simple:

You’re going to work out what the already most shared and linked content is

And then create something bigger and better.

You’ll learn:

  • Which topics will go viral
  • Which type of content to create
  • How to Create Content, That Is Better Than What’s Already Out There
  • How to Make People Read, Love, Link + Share Your Content

Most Importantly: How to Create Viral Content without feeling overwhelmed and as fast and easy as possible!

Good Content = Attention = Money

Where To Start

Important Notice: You don’t have to be a great writer to write great content.

Some of the most successful Bloggers are:

  • Writing in their second language (like me. I’m not successful though, so don’t believe anything I say)
  • Dyslexic
  • Poor Writers

4 things that are more important for producing great content than being a great writer:

  • be helpful
  • be authentic
  • Don’t waste your reader’s time. Come to the Point already!
  • Make it easy for your readers to read your stuff and put it into action! That’s what Rich in College is all about. I hate when I read a „How to“ type of Blog Post and still don’t know, what to do at the end of it. This will inevitably lead to me getting lost in hours and hours of researching. I’ll spend 10 hours researching and 0 hours actually taking action. I hate that.

Elements of the Perfect Viral Blog Post

  • Attention-Grabbing Headline
  • Opening Paragraph:
    • Show that you understand their problem
    • Hint, that you have a solution
    • Tell them, EXACTLY, what you’re about to tell them.
  • Main Part
    • Keep your audience engaged
    • Keep the paragraphs short and to the point
    • Use benefit-driven headlines for each paragraph
    • List out the main points + how they will solve the reader’s problems
    • Include references, stats, quotes, helpful links, click to tweets, infographics, images, etc. – This will make your blog post much more shareable.
  • Conclusion:
    • Reference the introduction
    • Summarize, what you’ve written
    • Include an actionable Step-by-Step list to solve the reader’s problem.
  • Call to Action: Tell your readers, what to do next. You’d probably think, your readers will know, what to do. If they like it, they’d share it anyway, right? Wrong! It’s stunning, how much of a difference a Call to Action at the end of a Blog Post makes.

Some examples include:

  • Sign up to your email list – offer them an opt-in incentive to do so
    • Buy your product
    • Share your post

Why You Should Include CTAs on Everything You Publish

More than 90% of visitors who read your headline also read your CTA copy. (Unbounce)

Emails with a single call-to-action increased clicks 371% and sales 1617%. (WordStream)

Adding CTAs to your Facebook page can increase click-through rate by 285%. (AdRoll)

Adding CTA buttons to article templates increased revenue by 83% in one month.

Average order value for blog readers increased 49% quarter over quarter.

3. How to Promote the Content to Make it Go Viral

If you want to take your content promotion to the next level, you should start a 7 Day Free Trial of Buzzsumo Pro and also a free trial of Moz Pro. This will allow you, to use all those features, that I’m about to present you and it won’t cost you a dime. 🙂

1. Find out, who shared the content.

  • On Buzzsumo, enter the URL of the original post.
  • Click on „View Sharers“. This will show you all the people, who shared the post on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+ (Is that still a thing?).
  • You can then see, how many followers the people, who shared it, have.
  • Sort by Followers.
  • Exclude everyone, who has less than 5.000 Followers.
  • Click on „Export“ to export all of them into a spreadsheet.
  • Filter the list by „reply ratio“.
  • Delete anyone with less than 50% reply ratio. This will leave you with the people, who are likely to reply to your tweets and re-tweet them.
  • Again, save the spreadsheet.

2. Find out, who linked to the content.

  • Head over to http://moz.com/researchtools/ose
  • Enter the URL of the viral blog post of your choice.
  • Click on „Linking Domains“
  • Sort by Domain Authority (DA).
  • Set a filter to only include websites with a domain authority higher than 50, since backlinks from these sites will have the biggest impact on your domain authority. This will give you a higher Google ranking.
  • Check out the exact pages, where they put the link.
  • Export all of those links into a spreadsheet.

3. Reach out to the bloggers, who linked back to the content.

So, now that you found all the websites, who linked to the blog posts that are worse than what you created, the next step is to reach out to these people via mail or tweet to them.

If you have the resources, you can also outsource this to a Virtual Assistant or a Freelancer on Fiverr.

Just work your way through your list tweeting the influencers from your spreadsheet with a simple tweet like the following:

“Hey @Twitterusername, I’ve just created a great article on “TOPIC OF ARTICLE HERE” would you be interested in seeing it?”

If they respond saying yes then reply with…

“Here’s the article – LINK – if you like it please re-tweet it to your audience, thanks”

Be sure to keep a record in your spreadsheet of who you’ve contacted and if they replied or not (give them 72hrs as after that they aren’t likely to).

Anyone who replies to you – leave it at that.

Anyone who doesn’t you follow up with an email (emails are more likely to be read that Tweets which are easily ignored)

You took note of their website URL in the research stage so you’ll be able to find their email from there.

Here’s the email template I send…

“Hey NAME,

I was just reading your blog and loved your LATEST / MOST POPULAR POST ON XYX, particularly the point about POINT YOU LOVED HERE.

While browsing your site, I also noticed that you’d linked to NAME OF VIRAL CONTENT POST on your page PAGE THEY LINKED TO.

I love that post too. So much in fact I set out to improve on it. I think I did a pretty good job as well.

How to Save Time by Repurposing your Old Content

3 Ways to Repurpose Your Content to Attract More Clients

You’ve got a wealth of information in that beautiful brain of yours but are you using it to better serve your business? There’s a fine line of sharing all your hard-earned knowledge for free and sharing it only with your paying clients. If you increase the ways to share your knowledge, you can attract more clients while earning more income at the same time.

Let’s delve into the details…

Step One: Written Content

I’ll assume you have dozens of blog posts, short reports, or even an ebook written since most people start with the written word when creating content. One way to repurpose these blog posts and reports is to sort them into similar categories or by similar topics and combine them into an ebook that you can then sell on Amazon. Or maybe these topics lend themselves more to a printed workbook with blank pages which your clients can write on and take notes. You haven’t written brand new content; you’ve just organized previous content and given it a new cover.

Step Two: Video

Take these same blog posts and reports and create short videos on each subject. Post these videos on your YouTube channel and cross-promote them on Facebook with links leading back to your website. If video frightens you because you don’t want to be on camera, create PowerPoint slides with the text, and then you have the choice of recording a voice over (with your own voice, of course) or simply adding some royalty-free background music that plays while the slides advance. Another video option is to have an animation created based on the subject matter. That is more costly than being in front of the camera but it’s also a way to garner attention.

Not everyone is an avid reader and using video helps build that personal relationship between you and your potential clients. It’s most powerful if you get on camera because not only can they put a face to the name but they can hear your voice, your inflections, and your personality.

If you’re a real talker instead of a natural writer, get out the camera and start recording your videos. Then send it to a transcriptionist who will turn it into the written word. An instant blog post or short report!

Step Three: Audio

Turn your blog posts, reports, or ebook into an audio file. Audiobooks are incredibly popular and you can sell that on your website or via a site like Audible. Other recordings can be bundled together into an audio class, a free download opt-in gift, or as a teleclass. If your specialty is motivational or inspirational, record daily motivational audios and for a monthly subscription they will be delivered to your clients who subscribe.

You can also follow the above advice and work backward, starting with recording the audios and having them transcribed into blog posts, email series, or social media posts.

Repurpose Your Way to Passive Income

Combining your current content into different forms now allows you to sell these as passive income streams. Keep in mind that different people have different ways of learning and absorbing material, so covering your bases between written, video, and audio options is appealing.
